Whitney Noble is in his third year as assistant athletic media relations director at Tusculum College.
Noble assists with all operations of the athletic media relations office in addition to serving as the primary media contact for men’s soccer, women’s soccer, women’s basketball, softball, cross country, and men's and women's tennis.
Noble, a native of Boxborough, Mass., completed his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Sport Management from the University of Tampa in May 2008. Noble worked in the Spartans’ sports information office as a student assistant from 2004-07, before being named to the assistant director post prior to the 2007-08 academic year.
During his undergraduate years at Tampa, Noble covered 13 of UT’s 16 athletic teams in various capacities, serving as the primary contact for men’s soccer in 2006 and 2007, as well as baseball in 2008. While at Tampa, he helped write and design several media guides for soccer, baseball, basketball, and volleyball, as well as being the primary designer of the 2008 baseball media guide.
The 2006 Tampa Men’s Soccer Guide, which he helped produce, was selected third in the nation (Division B) by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
In 2007-08, he also served on the statistics staff for the NCAA Division III Soccer National Championship in Orlando, Fla. and the D-II South Regional Baseball Tournament, hosted by Tampa. In 2007, he also worked with ESPN with the Arena Football Playoffs in Tampa.
