INDIANAPOLIS --- Tusculum's South Atlantic Conference football opener at Limestone College on Sept. 16 will be featured as part of the NCAA Division II Football Showcase.
The league lid-lifter between the Pioneers and the Saints will kick off at 7 p.m. in Gaffney, South Carolina and will be streamed on ESPN3, which is available on WatchESPN.com and the ESPN app. It will be one of 18 games which will be featured this fall.
"The collaboration with ESPN provides a continued opportunity to showcase Division II's balanced student-athlete experience," said Terri Steeb Gronau, vice president of Division II. "The student-athletes who will be featured in these games have made incredible achievements on and off the field, and we're excited to share their abilities with a broad national audience on ESPN3."
Limestone is beginning its first season as an associate member of the South Atlantic Conference and will be eligible for football championships and awards starting this year. The Saints are coming off a 5-6 season, including a 34-13 loss at Tusculum last October. TC leads the all-time series 2-0 against the Saints.
