GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Saturday marked the second day of fall camp for the Tusculum University football program as the Pioneers took the field on another bright sunny morning at the TU practice complex.
The coaches and players were welcomed by more humid conditions than Friday's first practice of the fall as the team went in helmets only for a second straight day. Sunday and Monday's practices will be in helmets and shoulder pads with full gear slated for Tuesday.
In Saturday's practice, the Pioneers worked numerous drills and also got in repetitions on situational down and distance as well as special team reps with the punting units, field goal and kickoff teams.
The Pioneers will hold its annual Photo/Media Day a week from Sunday (Aug. 18) starting at 3 p.m. at Pioneer Field.
Tusculum continues its preparations for the 2019 season and the September 5 opener at Delta State University. TU will host its home opener on September 14 when the Pioneers welcome the University of West Alabama in the inaugural meeting between the two programs.
