PEMBROKE, N.C. --- Tusculum University cornerback Dee Alford has been named to the Division II Conference Commissioner’s Association (D2CCA) All-Super Region 2 Football first team. (D2CCA All-Region Team)
ROCK HILL, S.C. --- Six Tusculum University student-athletes have been named to the 2019 All-South Atlantic Conference Football Team announced league officials on Tuesday. The team is selected by a vote of the league’s nine head football coaches.
JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. --- Quarterback Tyler Thackerson accounted for four touchdowns, while the Carson-Newman defense recorded a school-record 10 sacks as the Eagles defeated in-state rival Tusculum 49-13 Saturday afternoon at Burke-Tarr Stadium. It was the 49th meeting in the second oldest collegiate gridiron rivalry in the State of Tennessee (1904).
