JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. --- The Tusculum men's and women's indoor track & field teams concluded action at the two-day ETSU Buccaneer Invitational Saturday at the ETSU/MSHA Athletic Center.
The Pioneers will compete next Friday and Saturday, February 9-10 at the Gamecock Invitational at the University of South Carolina.
Widchard Guervil lowered his NCAA Division II qualifying time in the 60 meters for the second straight day, finishing fourth in the finals with a time of 6.81 seconds after running 6.82 seconds in the semifinals Friday night. He currently ranks third in the South Atlantic Conference in the event, and is in the top 15 nationally in Division II pending weekend results from around the country.
Yannick Rosalie finished sixth in the triple jump with a mark of 13.82 meters (45 feet, 4 1/4 inches) and Will Cronin took 18th in the 3000 meters with a season-best time of 9:21.76. In the 800 meters, all three Pioneer runner finished with season-best time: Malik Tann in 32nd place (2:04.46), J'Quen Johnson in 35th place (2:05.55) and Isaac Hybarger in 56th place (2:12.73).
Nicole McMillen finished 10th in the mile run with a time of 5:27.71, placing her in the top 10 in the conference this season. In the 3000 meters, Alissa Furches finished 15th overall in a season-best time of 11:21.69. Also setting a season best was Katie MacDonald in the 800 meters, finishing with a time of 2:32.63 that was 31st overall.
