GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Tusculum golfer Lawson Harkey and soccer defender Marja Enste have been named the Zaxby's Athletes of the Week.
Harkey, a senior from Crouse, North Carolina, earned All-Tournament honors with his fourth-place finish at the Bob Dibble Memorial. He carded a 54-hole total 216 to record his best score and finish of his collegiate career. Harkey posted back-to-back rounds under par with a 71 and a career-low 70 in the opening day of the tournament. He closed out with a three-over par 75 as he recorded his second career top-five finish.
Enste, a senior from Aachen, Germany, scored the match-winning goal in the 90th minute in Tusculum's 1-0 South Atlantic Conference win over Emory & Henry. Her free kick from 30 yards out with 28.9 seconds remaining was punched into the air by the E&H keeper, but the ball spun into the net for the dramatic win.
Enste anchored a smothering defense which didn't allow a shot in Tusculum's 3-0 non-conference win over Bluefield State.
The Tusculum University Athlete of the Week Award is sponsored by Zaxby's, located at 3280 Andrew Johnson Highway in Greeneville. The Zaxby's Athlete of the Week Award honors one male and one female athlete each week from an in-season sport.
