The Tusculum University Athletic Communications staff coordinates the publicity and promotion of all 24 sports sponsored by the University, including press releases, publications, statistical information, and the maintenance of the athletics web site and the department's social media platforms. The athletic communications staff also oversees the operations of the press box and scorer's table at TU home events.
The Athletic Communications office is located on the second floor of Rankin Hall on the Greeneville campus, rooms 200 and 201. The mailing address is the following:
Tusculum University Athletic Communications
60 Shiloh Road
P.O. Box 5054
Greeneville, TN 37743
Members of the media planning to cover Pioneer athletics should contact the appropriate member of the TU athletic media relations staff (sport responsibilities listed above in the Athletic Communications staff listing). Working space at the press box / scorer's table is limited, so please contact the appropriate staff member ahead of time. Wireless Internet access is available at all home athletic events. Members of the media will be provided with game notes, programs, statistics, and any other relevant materials. Box scores will be available at certain intervals throughout the game, including play-by-play printouts if requested.
All requests for player and coach interviews must be made through the Athletic Communcations staff. Players and coaches will be available following a 10-minute "cooling off" period after each home contest. Postgame interviews of visiting players and coaches will be available upon request.
All requests for radio and Internet broadcasts must be made through the Athletic Communications staff at least one week in advance. Wireless Internet is available for visiting broadcasts at all home baseball, basketball, football, soccer, and volleyball events; cell phone lines or other means must be used for softball, but these means must be provided by the visiting broadcaster.
