GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- The Tusculum University women's beach volleyball team rebounded for a dominant final day at the conference weekend held at Hardin Park.
Tusculum (6-3, 3-1 SAC) goes on the road for the first time in March (13-14) to compete at the Stache Bash, hosted by Austin Peay. The Pioneers will rematch with the Govs and Wingate, but will face Chattanooga to bookend the event.
Match 1: Tusculum 4, Wingate 1
The Pioneers kept the Bulldogs winless on the season in the day's opener.
Ally Doty and Siri Aasgard just keep winning, taking down Wingate's No. 4 team with a 23-21, 21-12 victory.
Sofia Richmond and Sylvia Liszewski followed with a similar result at the No. 3 slot: 21-15, 23-21.
At the top flight, Sofia Vega Barrantes and Hannah Marsh took a 21-18, 21-14 decision.
Tusculum's final point came at the No. 2 flight with Brynn Smith and Dasha Nikolaeva grinding out a 26-24, 18-21, 15-8 win.
Wingate's lone score came at the 5's as Solene Roussel and Jordyn Kwalwasser suffered a reverse sweep by scores of 20-22, 21-13, 15-8.
Match 2: Tusculum 4, Catawba 1
All four points for the Pioneers came via sweep against the Catawba Indians.
Doty and Aasgard continued their perfect start to the season with a No. 4 win by identical 21-14, 21-14 set scores.
Marsh and Vega Barrantes rattled off a 21-17, 21-13 result at the top flight.
Jordyn Anderson and Ryann Gallagher clinched the match for Tusculum with a 21-8, 21-19 decision as the 5's.
Smith and Nikolaeva made the match 4-0 with a 21-18, 21-19 thriller.
Wingate got on the board with a win at the No. 3 slot as Liszewski and Richmond fell 21-14, 8-21, 15-12.
