GULF SHORES, Ala. --- The Tusculum University women's beach volleyball team dropped its match to fifth-seeded Texas A&M - Kingsville on Saturday (Apr. 18) morning.
Tusculum (12-22) finishes pool play at the No. 4 team in Pool D. They will face the fourth place team in Pool A, which is Catawba, in the Copper semifinals at 9 a.m. on Sunday (Apr. 19). The Copper Bracket finals and consolation match will both take place at 12:30 p.m. The other half of the Copper Bracket will be Erskine and Wayne State.
The Pioneers lost to the Javelinas in their lone match of the day.
The top three flights were the first to finish, with TAMUK clinching the match in straight sets.
Sofia Vega Barrantes and Hannah Marsh dropped their flight by a 21-9, 21-15 result.
Sylvia Liszewski and Brynn Smith fell in a 21-12, 21-10 decision.
Jordyn Anderson and Solene Roussel recorded their first result of the weekend, a 21-17, 21-8 loss.
