ROCK HILL, S.C. --- Tusculum University's Alejandro Ponte and Landon Dockery have been named to the 2026 All-South Atlantic Conference baseball team announced league officials Thursday.
Ponte was named the All-SAC second team designated hitter, while Dockery garnered third team recognition in the outfield. The All-SAC baseball team is selected by a vote of the conference's 12 head coaches.
Ponte, a freshman from Miami, Florida, led the Pioneers with his .386 batting average, which is 10th in the league. He finished his rookie season with 49 hits including 16 doubles (7th in SAC), two home runs and 25 RBI. He also drew 21 walks and posted a .474 on-base percentage (17th in SAC) and a .559 slugging percentage (20th in SAC). He recorded 14 multiple-hit games and accounted for an 18-game on-base streak, which was the longest on the team.
Dockery, a sophomore from Maryville, Tennessee, played in 37 games where he recorded a .369 batting average and totaled a team-high 52 hits including six doubles, four home runs and 22 RBI. He led the Pioneers with nine stolen bases in 11 attempts and scored 27 runs. His 16 multiple-hit contests are tops on the squad. In his two years at TU, he has 68 hits with 12 doubles, two triples, four homers and 30 RBI.
