Kendrick Foster was named to the Tusculum University men's basketball coaching staff in Summer 2025. Foster assists with all aspects of the basketball program including: scouting, film breakdown, player development, academic advisement, recruiting and practice organization.
The Talladega, Ala. native served as a student assistant coach at Miles College where he helped the Golden Bears to a 2023 SIAC Championship while making a pair of NCAA Division II Tournament appearances. While at the Fairfield, Ala. school, his teams posted a combined 57-13 overall record including 32-6 in conference play.
Miles posted a 10-1 record in his first campaign during a COVID-shortened season. In 2022, he made 16 appearances and helped Miles to a 24-5 record including a stellar 17-1 worksheet in league play to capture the SIAC West Division crown. The team lost in the second round of the SIAC Tournament, but a solid recorded including an 18-game winning streak down the stretch sent the Golden Bears onto the NCAA II South Regional.
He moved into the student coaching role for the 2022-23 campaign as Miles went 23-7 overall and 16-4 in SIAC play to win back-to-back West Division title. Miles swept through the conference tournament and won the SIAC Championship with a 60-46 victory over Benedict and earn the league's automatic berth to the NCAA postseason. The Golden Bears allowed only 60.5 points per game which was ranked fifth-best scoring defense in the country.
Foster started his collegiate playing career at Iowa Central Community College (2018-2019) and later at Wallace State Community College (2019-2020).
He earned his Bachelor of Science degree while majoring in criminal justice in 2023 where he graduated with cum laude honors. He is also a member of the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity.
