NORMAN, Okla. --- Tusculum College's Brad Hawkins has been named to the 2014-2015 PING/NCAA Division II All-Southeast Region Team as selected by the Golf Coaches Association of America.

Hawkins, a junior from Knoxville, Tennessee, led the Pioneers with his 72.26 stroke average, which is the third lowest in the Southeast Region and the 13th best in all of Division II. His average was also the second lowest in program history and the lowest ever by a TC junior.

He earned a spot on the All-South Atlantic Conference first team as he finished in the top-10 in eight of his 11 events, including medalist honors at the Tusculum Fall Classic and the Walters State Fall Classic. He also finished runner-up at the State Farm Intercollegiate and the Etowah Spring Challenge.

Hawkins carded eight sub-par rounds on the season, including back-to-back rounds of 68 at the Tusculum Fall Classic. He shot 136 in consecutive events at the TC Fall Classic and the State Farm Intercollegiate, tying for the second-lowest 36-hole score in school history.

He tied for sixth place at the Tusculum Invitational, including a 68 in his final round. He also tied for sixth at the South Atlantic Conference Championship, earning him a spot on the All-Tournament second team.

Hawkins and the Pioneers accounted for one of the best seasons in program history, winning a school record five tournaments, including the SAC Championship. The SAC title is the program's first and the sixth overall league championship in school history. With the SAC Championship, the Pioneers earned a berth to the NCAA Division II Super Regional in Dade City, Florida.

The Central High School graduate is majoring in sport management and is a member of the Tusculum Athletic Director's Honor Roll, Dean's List and Charles Oliver Gray Honors List.

Hawkins transferred to Tusculum this fall after posting back-to-back All-America campaigns at Walters State College, where he led the Senators to the 2014 NJCAA National Championship.
