Price records hole-in-one, Pioneers sixth at Oldfield Classic

OKATIE, S.C. ---Tusculum University freshman Harrison Price carded a one-over par 145 and is tied for 15th place after 36 holes at the 2025 Oldfield Classic. The two-day, 54-hole tournament is being held at the Oldfield Club and hosted by USC Beaufort.

Tusculum posted aggregate team scores of 299 and 295 for a 36-hole total 594 which as the Pioneers in sixth place in the 14-team field.

Price opened the day with a 75 which included a hole-in-one on the par-3, 215-yard 16th hole, which proved to be the fourth toughest so far in the tournament. Price followed with a two-under 70 in Monday's second round, which has him six strokes off the pace set by day one leader Tobey Kim of Arkansas Tech (67-72=139, -5).

USC Beaufort, the 15th-ranked team in the country, first a seven-under par 287-282=569 and leads by 14 shots over second place Shorter (288-295=583). Indianapolis and Arkansas Tech are tied for third place with 586, while Savannah College of Art & Design rounds out the top five with 591.

Tusculum is sixth with 594, followed by Davenport (596), Fayetteville State (596), Marian (596), St. Thomas, Fla. (599), Catawba (599), Young Harris (602), Emmanuel (609) and Truett McConnell (615).

Price's ace is the fourth recorded hole-in-one during competition in the history of the Tusculum men's golf program. The last to score an ace was former All-South Atlantic Conference standout Nick Forsberg, who posted an ace at Link Hills Country Club during his 2012-13 rookie campaign. Other Pioneers recording hole-in-ones are Todd Watson in 1994 and Justin Harvey in 2012.

Liam van Deventer is tied for 25th place after shooting 73-75=148, while Blake Williams posted 74-76=150 and is 36th. Hunter Hartman is 40th with 77-74=151, while Liam Hermansson is 51st with 77-77=154.

The final round will be played on Tuesday at the par-72, 7,142-yard layout of the Oldfield Club.
