BRISTOL, Tenn. --- The Tusculum Pioneers claimed its fourth consecutive King Invitational title as the Sons of Davy Crockett shot a school-record 36-hole score of 546. The two-day tournament was held at the par-70, 6,474-yard Golf Club of Bristol and hosted by King University.,

Tusculum's 14-under par team score won the event by seven strokes, while surpassing the previous 36-hole school record of 551 at last year's King Invitational.

TU sophomore Harrison Price captured a share of the individual medal as he finished with a two-day score of 65-68=133 (-7). For Price, it is his first individual collegiate title and he ties for the second-lowest 36-hole score in school history. He matches the 133 shot by Brad Hawkins at the 2015 State Farm Intercollegiate. The 133 is one shot off the school-record 132 Hawkins carded in the 2015 Pioneer Classic.

Price and West Chester's Paul-Arthur Roth share the individual medal at seven-under par. Roth finished with a five-under 65 on Tuesday to tie for the lowest round.

Joining Price in the top-10 is TU's Fraser Laird as he posted a five-under par 135 including Tuesday's final round 68.  Laird's 135 is tied for the sixth-lowest 36-hole total in program history.

Ed Linley tied for ninth place with 67-73=140. George Evans shot 72-69=141 to tie for 14th place, while Matthew Hogan finished 23rd with 74-70=144.

Young Harris finished runner-up with 553, while West Chester was third with 554. King finished fourth with 557, followed by North Greenville (565), Lenoir-Rhyne B (583), UVA Wise (586), King B (594), Belmont Abbey B (596), Ferrum (598), Belmont Abbey C (598) and Lenoir-Rhyne C (601).

Tusculum returns to action next month (Oct. 13-14) when they host the Bob Dibble Memorial at Graysburg Hills Golf Course.
