The Tusculum University family is mourning the loss of student Payton Cook, a freshman business administration major and beloved member of the men's lacrosse team, who passed away on Friday.

Payton, a native of Sherwood Park, Alberta, was entering his first season with the Tusculum lacrosse program. He was a bright light in the Tusculum community. An exceptional student, dedicated teammate and a friend to many.

Tusculum extends its deepest sympathies to Payton's family, friends, classmates and teammates.
