ROCK HILL, S.C. --- Tusculum University junior midfielder Ben Royer has been named the South Atlantic Conference WePlayed Sports Men's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending Feb. 8, the SAC office announced Monday.

Royer had a career-high six goals and added four assists for 10 points as the Pioneers opened the 2026 season with an 18-17 victory at Emmanuel on Saturday. Royer scored twice in the first quarter, once each in the second and third and added two more in the fourth, included the eventual game-winner with 2:02 left.

The Edmonton, Alberta native scored three of his goals with the man advantage, and had two caused turnovers and a ground ball while scoring on six of his nine shots on goal in the match.

The Pioneers (1-0) will be idle until a visit to Chowan on Tuesday, Feb. 17 beginning at 1 p.m.
