ROCK HILL, S.C. --- A pair of Pioneers were named to the 2026 edition of the South Atlantic Conference all-league teams on Thursday (Apr. 30). Tusculum University softball has had at least one player named to an all-conference dating back to 2011 (with the COVID year not included).
Chelsey Stonesifer was picked to the second team as a pitcher and Andrea Davis was honored with third team laurels as an outfielder.
Stonesifer, a junior from Littlestown, Pennsylvania, was the highest picked pitcher for the Pioneers since 2012. She finished in the top-10 in program history with 18 wins, 33 appearances, five shutouts, three saves, and 162 strikeouts this season for Tusculum. Stonesifer is on pace to finish in the top-10 in career ERA, wins, shutouts, complete games, saves, and strikeouts after just one year in a TU uniform. She ranks in the top-25 in Division II in pitching appearances, strikeouts, hits allowed per seven innings, victories, and complete games. Stonesifer was named conference pitcher of the week three times this season and added a trio of state honors.
Batting for herself, Stonesifer averaged .313 with a .468 on-base percentage and slugged .625. She has totaled 15 hits, four doubles, one triple, and is tied for the team lead with three home runs, while drawing 14 walks and scoring nine runs with eight runs batted in.
Davis, a freshman from Hiram, Georgia, was solid in right field for Tusculum. Offensively across 29 games, she averaged .368 with a .400 OBP and slugged .474. Davis totaled 21 hits, four doubles, one triple, and seven RBI, while adding 14 runs, three walks, and one steal. In the field, Davis was perfect in 29 chances, notching 26 putouts with three assists and aided in a pair of double plays.
The Pioneers finished the regular season with a 22-28 (8-14 SAC) record. TU has collected 20+ wins in 15-straight campaigns, excluding the shortened COVID season. This spans the entirety of head coach Julie Huebner's tenure as well.
