PUEBLO, Colo. --- Tusculum University continued competition at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championship Friday evening at the CSU Thunderbowl.
Junior Jahzara Hart finished ninth in the women's 200 meters and junior Theresa Green-White was 19th overall in the women's 100-meter hurdles for the Pioneers, leaving both runners out of Saturday's championship field.
Hart was in the last of three heats of the 200 meters and broke her own school record with a time of 23.31 seconds. Despite finishing ninth overall, Hart was kept out of the finals by 10th-place runner Shantae George of Lincoln (Mo.), who earned an automatic spot by placing second in her heat with a time of 23.33 seconds.
Green-White, who earned All-America honors in the 100 hurdles at the 2024 NCAA Championship, battled to a time of 14.44 seconds which was nearly a second off the final qualifying position.
Both Hart and Green-White will compete on the final day of the championship on Saturday. Hart will run in the finals of the 100 meters at 8:40 p.m. Eastern, after the 4x100-meter relay of Kiera Taylor, Shanice Cox, Green-White and Hart runs at 7:10 p.m.
