LILBURN, Ga. --- For a second straight week, the Tusculum College women's basketball team is listed in this week's USA Today/ESPN Division II Top 25 as the Pioneers are up one spot and are No. 21 in the poll.
Tusculum (23-3, 12-1 in South Atlantic Conference) received 134 total points and is the highest ranked team in the NCAA II South Atlantic Region.
Undefeated Delta State (24-0) holds down the top spot with 672 total points and 26 first place votes, while Seattle Pacific (24-0) is second again with 648 points. South Dakota is third with 619 points, including a first place nod, while Holy Family is fourth, followed by Drury, North Dakota, West Georgia, Concordia-St. Paul, Alaska Anchorage and Arkansas Tech.
Stonehill is 11th, followed by Fort Lewis, Indiana (Pa.), Anderson (S.C.), Valdosta State, West Texas A&M, Washburn, Hillsdale, Franklin Pierce, Cal State Chico, Tusculum, Emporia State, Francis Marion, California (Pa.) and West Liberty State.
The Pioneers have won their last eight games and wrap up their regular season schedule Wednesday at Mars Hill, beginning at 6 p.m. Tusculum has already clinched at least a share of the SAC Championship and can claim the outright title with a win on Wednesday.
