GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Tusculum College women's basketball head coach Adell Harris has announced the dates for this summer's Pioneer Palooza Team Camp, as well as the Individual Day and High School Skills camps, to be held in Pioneer Arena.
The team camp will be offered during two separate three-day sessions from June 3-6 and June 10-13, with registration open to the first 30 varsity or AAU teams interested in attending. A minimum of eight players is required for registration, and a non-refundable deposit of $100 is due prior to May 1 in order to reserve a spot in the camp.
Three separate packages are available for the team camp. The first package includes meals, lodging and a camp T-shirt at a cost of $150 per player; package two includes meals and a camp T-shirt for $125 per player; the third package includes a camp T-shirt at $100 per player.
The individual and high school camps will take place from July 19-22, with the individual day camp open to grades K-8 and the high school skills camp open to grades 9-12. A non-refundable deposit of $25 is required in order to reserve a spot in either camp. The individual day camp is open to half-day campers from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and full-day campers from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with an emphasis on fundamentals instruction. The cost for half-day campers is $75 while a registration fee of $150 is required for full-day campers.
The high school skills camp is designed for the advanced player, with emphasis on individual skills through position work, offensive and defensive concepts, and utilizing the skills learned in game. The camp will be held from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. during the four-day session at a cost of $75 per player. Members of the Tusculum coaching staff will direct the camps, and players from the Southeast Region champion Pioneer squad will serve as coaches and counselors.
