GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Tusculum University sophomore guard Ema Nagyova will compete for Slovakia as part of the FIBA 3x3 Women's Under 21 Youth Nations League for the stop in Vilnius, Lithuania from July 7-9.
Slovakia is competing in the Europe 3 division against Spain, Netherlands, Israel, Turkiye and Lithuania. The teams had three round-robin events in Bratislava, Slovakia from June 24-26, with Slovakia ranked fifth heading into the Vilnius stop.
Each day, the six teams are paired off into two pools and will play two games, with the pool winners advancing to the championship match.
Nagyova, a 5-7 guard from Ziar nad Hronom, Slovakia, played 18 games off the bench for the Pioneers last season and averaged 2.1 points per game. Nagyova had a season-high nine points against Wingate on Feb. 8 and shot 28.1 percent (9-for-32) from three-point range in 11.0 minutes per game.
The Nations League was launched in 2017 as a development program for men and women under the age of 23 to develop their skills in preparation for the open category. Games will be streamed live at youtube.com/FIBA3x3.
