Pioneers tied for 13th place at Grand Harbor Classic

NINETY SIX, S.C. --- The Tusculum University women's golf team is tied for 13th place after the opening day of the 2026 Grand Harbor Classic. The two-day, 54-hole tournament is being held at the par-72, 5,933-yard Patriot Golf Club at Grand Harbor and hosted by Anderson University.

The Pioneers started the day with an aggregate team score of 316 and shaved 12 shots off that score and posted 304 in the second round to give them a 36-hole total of 620.

This year's 19-team field includes nine programs currently nationally ranked in NCAA Division II including four programs listed in the top-10.

Wingate, the No. 1 team in the country, has the first day least with 578 and leads by two shots over seventh-ranked Lander and are eight clear of No. 3 Anderson (586). Lee University (No. 10 in NCAA II) is fourth with 589, followed by Lincoln Memorial (590), Erskine (591), North Georgia (592), Catawba (596), Harding (604) and Missouri-St. Louis (605) to round out the top-10.

Emmanuel is 11th with 615, followed by Belmont Abbey (617), Tusculum (620), USC Beaufort (620), Union, Tenn. (621), North Greenville (633), Newberry (635), Coker (640) and Young Harris (648).

Tusculum senior Reagan Padilla is tied for 43rd place with 79-73=152 (+8). She got off to a sluggish start as she was seven-over par for her first nine holes, but bounced back and shot one-over par for her final 27. During her second round 73 included six birdies, seven pars, three bogeys and two double bogeys.

Tusculum junior Delfin Filiz is tied for 52nd place with 79-75=154 (+10). After shooting 79, her second round got off to an exciting star as she holed out from 150 yards for an eagle two on the 359-yard par four as she finished with a three-over 75.

Sophomore Maylei Hildenbrand is 54th with 78-77=155 (+11), freshman McKenna Williams is 73rd with 80-79=169 (+15) while senior Annabelle Mozingo rounded out the scoring with 81-80=161 (+17) and is tied for 80th in the 104-player field.

Wingate's Amely Bochaton has the first day individual lead with her four-under par total of 71-68=139 and leads by two shots over Lander's Kajsa Lindqvist (71-70=141).

The final 18 holes will be played on Tuesday with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start.
