Tusculum wraps up season with sixth place finish at SAC Championship

GREENVILLE, S.C. --- The Tusculum Pioneers recorded a sixth-place finish at the 2026 South Atlantic Conference Women's Golf Championship.

Tusculum posted a 54-hole aggregate score of 948 including Monday's third round score of 327.

Wingate moved up a spot and is in first place with a score of 885, three shots ahead of Lincoln Memorial (888). Anderson is third with 903, while Catawba is fourth with 904. The top-four teams advance to Tuesday's medal match play round. The semifinals will have Wingate against Catawba, while LMU and Anderson will face off in the other semifinal contest. The winners will play each other on Tuesday afternoon to decide the SAC Championship.

Tusculum's sixth place result is its best showing at the SAC Championship since finishing sixth at the 2023 tournament.

Wingate's Amely Bochaton claimed the individual medal as she posted a one-under par total of 215 including 70, finishing one shot better than teammate Olivia Meinceke.

Carson-Newman finished fifth with 921, followed by Tusculum (948), Lenoir-Rhyne (949), Coker (1002), Newberry (1005), UVA Wise (1061) and Mars Hill (DNS) to wrap up their respective regular seasons.

Junior Delfin Filiz was the top TU finisher as she tied for 12th place with a 54-hole total of 74-72-82=228. Senior Reagan Filiz tied for 15th place with 76-75-78=229, while Annabelle Mozingo (78-84-82=244) and Maylei Hildenbrand (77-85-85=247) finished 33rd and 36th, respectively. TU freshman McKenna Williams carded a final round 86 on Monday.

Padilla finishes the year with a team-best 76.04 scoring average which is ranked the seventh-best by a Pioneer. She wraps up her TU career with a 76.30 stroke average which is listed second in program history. Her 15th place finish marks her 25th top-20 performance of her career which is tied for fourth amongst Tusculum golfers. Her 19 top-10 finishes are fourth in TU history, while her 13 top-five finishes are tied for second in the Tusculum record book. Her 96 career rounds played are the most ever by a Pioneer.
