Anderson scores in each half for 2-0 win over Pioneers

ANDERSON, S.C. --- Anderson University scored on both sides of a weather delay to take a 2-0 victory over Tusculum University in South Atlantic Conference women's soccer Saturday evening.

Camryn Woods scored in the first half and Ansley Douty added a second-half goal for the Trojans (4-1-1, 2-0-0 SAC), who outshot the Pioneers (3-4-0, 1-1-0 SAC) by a 17-9 margin. Aliyah Morgan made four saves to earn the shutout in goal for Anderson.

Woods scored at 31:38 of the first half off an assist from Douty, moments before the teams went to the locker room to wait out a weather delay of around 90 minutes. After the pause, Anderson got an insurance goal at 73:46 as Douty collected her fourth of the season with an assist to Lauren Monday.

Noemie Tartrou had a season-high seven saves for the Pioneers, as Anderson had a 7-1 advantage in corner kicks in the match.

Tusculum will play its next three matches at Pioneer Field, starting Wednesday, October 1 against Lincoln Memorial beginning at 5:00 p.m. The Railsplitters beat Coker 1-0 at home on Saturday and are 4-3-1 overall and 1-2-0 in SAC play.
