Six named to CSC Women's Soccer Academic All-District Team

AUSTIN, Texas --- Six Tusculum University student-athletes have been named to the 2025 NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Academic All-District® 3 first team as selected by the College Sports Communicators.

Earning Academic All-District® honors for the Pioneers are: Wilma Axelsson, Marja Enste, Sydney Grant, Adriana Netskos, Brynn Stokes and Noemie Tartrou.

The 2025 Academic All-District® Women's Soccer teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.

District 3 is comprised of colleges and universities representing the South Atlantic Conference, Peach Belt Conference and Conference Carolinas. To be eligible, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher, must be at least a sophomore and played in 90 percent of their team's matches or start in 67 percent of their contests.

Axelsson, a senior midfielder from Ytterby, Sweden, returns to the CSC Academic All-District Team for a third straight season and boasts a 3.85 GPA while majoring in business administration. She is a member of the SAC Commissioner's Honor Roll, Dean's List, Athletic Director's Honor Roll and Charles Oliver Gray Honors List. She is a two-time recipient of the Division II Athletic Directors Association Academic Achievement Award.

Axelsson played in 17 matches this past year including 16 starts as she led the team with six assists while earning All-SAC third team honors. She also tallied a pair of goals including a match-winner in TU's 3-2 victory over Coker. She logged 60 appearances during her collegiate career including 41 starts where she totaled four goals and nine assists for 17 points.

Enste, a senior defender from Aachen, Germany, is a three-time CSC Academic All-District selection. She has a 3.99 GPA as a sport management major. She is a member of the Athletic Director's Honor Roll, Dean's List, Charles Oliver Gray Honors List, SAC Commissioner's Honor Roll and the President's List. She is a two-time D2ADA Academic Achievement Award recipient and was the 2022-2023 Tusculum Freshman of the Year Academic Award honoree.

Enste earned All-SAC second team distinction this season as she played in all 18 matches and scored a career-best three goals, two of which were match-winners. She played in a team-high 1,510 minutes in 2025 with her match-winners coming against Thomas More and Emory & Henry. She played in 68 career matches with 67 starts and finished with four goals and seven assists for 15 points. She was named team most valuable player in 2023 and 2024 and was recognized as the SAC Defensive Player of the Week in 2025.

Grant, a senior forward from Schaumburg, Illinois, becomes a three-time Academic All-District choice. She has a 3.79 GPA as a double major in criminal justice and psychology. She has been named to the SAC Commissioner's Honor Roll, Dean's List, Charles Oliver Gray Honors List and the Athletic Director's Honor Roll. The has twice garnered the D2ADA Academic Achievement Award.

Grant earned All-SAC second team laurels and finished second on the team with five goals and third with 11 points in her 17 matches. She was second amongst TU's field players with 1,216 minutes played. She tallied two match-winning goals, which came in a 3-2 win at Ohio Dominican and a 3-2 victory over Wingate.

The two-time All-Conference honoree collected 18 goals and 12 assists for 48 points in her 65 career starts.

Netskos, a senior midfielder from Sarnia, Ontario, Canada, has a 3.52 GPA while majoring in psychology. She is a member of the SAC Commissioner's Honor Roll, Athletic Director's Honor Roll, Dean's List and Charles Oliver Gray Honors List. In 2024-25, she was a recipient of the D2ADA Academic Achievement Award.

Netskos started in 17 matches in 2025 where she recorded four shots including two on goal as she played in 1,078 minutes for the Pioneers. She totaled four goals and an assist for her nine points as she appeared in 52 matches with 45 starts in her collegiate career.

Stokes, a senior defender from Cincinnati, Ohio, returns to the Academic All-District team for a second straight year. She has a 3.85 GPA while majoring business administration and is a member of the SAC Commissioner's Honor Roll, Charles Oliver Gray Honors List, Dean's List and Athletic Director's Honor Roll. She is also a 2024-25 recipient of the D2ADA Academic Achievement Award.

She started in 14 matches in 2025 while notching an assist and attempted four shots including one on goal. Stokes has played in 46 career matches (all starts) and has accumulated four goals and three assists for 11 points.

Tartrou, a junior goalkeeper from Herblay-sur-Seine, France, has a 3.83 GPA and is majoring in political science. She is a member of the SAC Commissioner's Honor Roll, Dean's List, Athletic Director's Honor Roll, Charles Oliver Gray Honors List and earned the D2ADA Academic Achievement Award.

She was named to the 2025 All-SAC third team as she played in 17 matches and made 15 starts. She finished with a 6-7-3 record and a 2.11 goals against average, to go along with three shutouts. She ended the season with a SAC-best 83 saves and had a .728 save percentage, with 10 matches having five saves or more. She posted a season-best 15 saves against nationally-ranked Catawba and had 10 stops in a scoreless draw with Lincoln Memorial. She also earned a shutout win over Emory & Henry and Newberry, making five stops in each victory.

Tartrou has a 2.46 career GAA while playing in 25 matches with 18 starts in goal. She is responsible for four shutouts and has notched seven victories and 131 career saves for the Black and Orange.

The Pioneers finished 8-8-2 overall and fifth in the South Atlantic Conference with a 5-4-1 league record, earning a SAC Championship Tournament berth for the first time since 2022.

The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced December 17.

The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-2026 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs.
