HARROGATE, Tenn. --- The Tusculum University women's tennis team opened the fall portion of its 2025-26 schedule with competition at Lincoln Memorial University on Sunday.

The Pioneers played five singles matches and two doubles matches during the day, collecting four victories in all.

In singles, freshman Ginevra Moreno Villa earned two wins as she beat Christina Korakopoulou of UVA Wise 6-3, 6-1 and defeated Melissa Lino Airoldi of UVA Wise 6-1, 6-2. Freshman Emma Kotzmannova defeated Kenzy Abdelaal of UVA Wise 7-6 (7-5), 5-7, (10-7).

In doubles, senior Ylva Frafjord Landa teamed with Kotzmannova for a 6-3 win over the UVA Wise duo of Juliana Bastidas Tamayo and Andreea Onitoiu.

Tusculum will participate in the ITA Southeast Regional meet at Sumter, South Carolina beginning Friday, Sept. 26 and continuing through Monday, Sept. 29.
