GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- The Tusculum College volleyball program has cancelled the first of two team camps being offered as part of the 2010 TC Volleyball Camps and solidified the daily schedule for the remaining two camps, announced Pioneer head coach Michael Robinson. Coach Robinson and his staff will now be offering one team camp, as well as an individual camp this July, with all camps being held at Pioneer Arena.
The Individual Skills Camp will be held July 13-15 and is open for players, ages 13-18. The Individual Skills Camps is designed to teach volleyball techniques to players of all levels. Players will be divided into groups by position and/or skill level and will learn everything from the basics to advanced concepts of the game. The camp will begin with registration at 12:00 p.m. on July 13 and will finish at 12:00 p.m. on July 15 following the conclusion of the camp's mini-tournament. The cost of the Individual Skills Camp is $175 for residential campers and $160 for commuters.
The Team Camp will be held July 15-17 and is open for all JV/Varsity High School teams. This team camp is designed to teach advanced skills and concepts to teams. Teams in this camp should be experienced and competent in the basics of the game. The Team Camp costs $200 for residential campers and $175 for commuters. Check-in for the team camp will begin at 1:30 p.m. on July 15, and camp will conclude at 3:00 p.m. on July 17.
Each team will be assigned a camp coach. A minimum of eight (8) players are required for a team. One high school coach per eight (8) players will be free. Additional coaches will be charged $75 to cover camp costs. Each camper and Coach must complete a registration form. All forms should be mailed together in an envelope.
All registration forms should be completed and mailed and received by July 2 with a non-refundable $75 deposit. The remaining balance may be paid at any time prior to camp or check-in. Refunds will be granted if cancelled before July 2, 2010.
