Destiny Makanjuola will serve as the women's soccer graduate assistant for the 2026 season.
Makanjuola was a four-year starter on defense for Chowan from 2022-25, collecting one goal and one assist in 64 games (all starts) for the Hawks. She was a three-time All-Conference Carolinas selection, earning third-team honors in both 2022 and 2023 and second-team honors in 2025.
As a senior, she was also a recipient of the Outstanding Student Award by Chowan for maintaining a GPA above 3.0 while demonstrating excellence through community service, campus involvement, leadership, and overall academic achievement. She was also a College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honoree in 2023 and was a member of the Conference Carolinas Academic All-Conference Team.
A native of Peterborough, England, Makanjuola graduated from Chowan in the spring of 2026 with a bachelor's degree in exercise science.
