TUSKEGEE, Ala. --- The Tusculum University women's tennis team opened its 2026 season with a 5-2 loss at Tuskegee University in non-conference action Friday afternoon.
The Golden Tigers (1-0) swept doubles from the Pioneers (0-1) and won four of the six singles matches to take the victory.
In singles play, freshman Ginevra Moreno Villa defeated Asia McRae 6-4, 6-0 at flight three, and freshman Carla Guasch downed Chloe Harrington 6-3, 6-1 for the other victory for the Pioneers.
Tusculum will host Lees-McRae at the Nichols Tennis Complex on Sunday, Feb. 8 at 1 p.m.
