GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- The Tusculum University women's lacrosse team will play in support of "Morgan's Message" when the Pioneers host Thomas More University on Saturday, March 14 at 1 p.m. at Pioneer Field.
Morgan's Message was founded to honor the life and legacy of Morgan Rodgers, a former Duke University women's lacrosse student-athlete who passed away in July, 2019 following mental health struggles. Morgan's Message was created by her family and former teammates with the mission to eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health, normalize the conversations about mental health and to ensure that mental health is treated equally to physical health for all student-athletes.
The team will have refreshments and activities available for all attendees after the game, including a butterfly coloring table. Sponsors for Saturday's game are Creamy Cup and Her First Athletics.
The Morgan's Message Education Program supports motivated students to become active ambassadors and advocates of student-athlete mental health on their high school and college campuses.
